Golf Course #5- Eaglesticks Golf Course

    Alrighty for these blogs I will be talking about the golf courses in the surrounding area of New Concord Ohio! So first off there are probably eight golf courses that I would say are within a reasonable distance of New Concord to make it easy enough to visit all of them. The idea behind my blogs will be to talk about each golf course and help anyone reading these get a better understanding of what each course brings to the table.

    The next course found near New Concord would be Eaglesticks Golf Course. From New Concord Eaglesticks is about a forty minute drive. Eaglesticks has many positives and is an all around great public golf course.

    Eaglesticks has a very entertaining atmosphere surrounding it. The clubhouse has a pro shop where you can purchase anything you need. The clubhouse also has a restaurant in the top that serves good food. Add in an outside space that has a covering perfect for outings and scrambles for large groups of people and it makes for a very entertaining place.

    The course has a large range perfect for hitting balls and a large putting green perfect for practicing chips and putts of all different types.

    The course itself has a great variety of everything a golfer is looking for. Quick greens, short holes, elevation make for a enjoyable round of golf for golfers of all skill levels.

    The course has a very balanced array of holes. From five par threes, three par fives, and a healthy dose of par fours in ten of them. The course starts going for a par four, par three, and par five that is reachable in two. It is a easy stretch to warm up golfers before getting into the next few holes where the challenges start. Holes begin getting shorter and it makes people have to chose between hitting driver and going for the beneficial long distance or just laying back and playing it safe. No matter what way you favor, the front nine will have its benefits and its set backs. 

    The back nine starts with a tough par three straight downhill over water. One of the toughest shots on the course with the only benefit being a large green waiting on the other side. Following a tough first hole golfers will be challenged by a stretch of holes containing long and narrow fairways and some of the most difficult greens on the course. 

    All in all a great course with tons of challenges while playing and a very enjoyable clubhouse experience when you first arrive.
