Golf Course #4- Cambridge Country Club
Alrighty for these blogs I will be talking about the golf courses in the surrounding area of New Concord Ohio! So first off there are probably eight golf courses that I would say are within a reasonable distance of New Concord to make it easy enough to visit all of them. The idea behind my blogs will be to talk about each golf course and help anyone reading these get a better understanding of what each course brings to the table.
Another course close to New Concord would be Cambridge Country Club. A twenty minute drive is well worth it for this course.
Cambridge Country Club is a fun course to play with an interesting front nine and an even more confusing back nine. The clubhouse has a pro shop with plenty of golf merchandise to buy and also has a bar area connected to it at the bottom that allows anyone to sit down and have a drink.
Past that there is a balcony where you can sit and watch the tee box on number ten along with also having a swimming pool as most country clubs have.
The course is entertaining because of quick greens and interesting hole locations. The first four holes have a easy way of making scores rise and frustrating golfers of all skill level. After that there are three or four easy holes where scoring can become more realistic and a challenging par three that can hurt as bad as any hole on the course.
The back nine is a fun twist and turn of holes. Starting with an easy few holes over time they begin to lengthen out and get harder on people as the day goes. Until finally two of the last three are a fun length that will challenge any level of golfer.
The course also has a driving range that fits a decent amount of people and has a very welcoming atmosphere.
