Golf Course #3- Jaycees Golf Course

Alrighty for these blogs I will be talking about the golf courses in the surrounding area of New Concord Ohio! So first off there are probably eight golf courses that I would say are within a reasonable distance of New Concord to make it easy enough to visit all of them. The idea behind my blogs will be to talk about each golf course and help anyone reading these get a better understanding of what each course brings to the table.
This course is probably one of my least favorite courses even though I know plenty of people that find it fun and easy. This is also a short drive of only 20 minutes from New Concord. Jaycees is the name of this golf course and although it has plenty of upsides I just was never a fan.
The course is a short easy course where anyone will enjoy the amount of extra roll you receive off the tee. Sometimes enough extra roll to make holes drivable and make shooting low there easy. But the course also works to where if you hit it offline that might be the last time you see your ball because of how rock hard this place can get sometimes.
The front nine consists of a few challenging holes because of how quick the greens are, but it consists of three holes that are drivable and a par five that is easily reachable in two. The par threes are nothing to challenging besides just the elevated and quick greens.
The back nine consists of a few longer holes and starts off with a stretch of par fours that has only a few challenges in them. After those the course finishes with two par threes that have weird shape to their greens making putting tough as could be. And the par fives both have creeks and other fun surprises that can make scoring on them tough.
Other than the shortness of the course and the rock hard bounces you can get while playing sometimes, the course is a very entertaining course for beginners and casual golfers. The club house is a very down to earth place with enough room for anyone to sit down and enjoy.
Overall it is a decent course that anyone should visit to have a good time with friends, and just enjoy the easy scorable holes.
